Birthday at work

Don't panic!! I didn't have to work on my birthday. For years, our educator brought a cake to work for your birthday. Well, we have a LOT of employee's and I think she was going broke and spending all her time cooking. Unfortunately for us, we are missing out on some great cake!

I decided that on my birthday, I would bring a cake. My friend Terri has a birthday just 3 days after mine and we happen to both be working on the 18th. I didn't make the cake, but I did get special princess sprinkles for us! It's always nice to do something fun for birthdays and I loved getting something for her AND ME!

Happy Birthday Terri!! Have fun in Vegas!

Blog

I am in search of the perfect blog template. Too many of them have wasted space and I want more room for the blog posts part of it. So after messing around too much, I lost my right side and so I decided to re-do it all.
Now it is 1230 at night and I have to work in the morning.

I love my husband and I think I'm going to go cuddle.

June Birthday Party!!

June is the time of year that we have three birthdays in our new little family.

Logan, Daniel and Me.

So we got together and celebrated in style with lots of BBQ, laughs and presents!!

I love this card I got. Reminds me of my wedding.
OOOOHHHH......presents!

Before dinner chit chat and Chris taking pic's while Austin is averting his eyes! hehe

Logan's Birthday!! He seems OK with his loot!

Daniels present was complicated. Matt and I bought him a snowboard. I didn't want to wrap it up, then he would know what he was getting. SO, I grabbed a bunch of boxes and filled them with just a lot of stuff. A couple of books, magazine, two can's of green beans. Then I was in my room and threw in a couple of pairs of shoes, my swimsuit and a sweater and jacket. I even threw in a purse. I even gave him a thanksgiving card. In the bottom of each box was a note that said, "This is not your present", or "Wow, you need to stay out of my stuff!". Only Matt knew what I was doing and frankly I came up with it last minute and as I woke up from a night shift.

The very last gift was a handwritten poem:

Night Shifts are Red

The next day I'm blue

I can hardly see the presents I wrapped for you

A really big hug and a kiss on the cheek

May convince me to remember the present that's neat!

He was confused and then so excited!! It was the best gift trick I have done.
Rachelle provided me with a princess crown and stick (?).
WHO'S the princess NOW!!! hehehe
I had a wonderful time, some great gifts. One of my favorites was the dog that goes into my usb port and just humps the computer. HILARIOUS!!

Of course, a family party wouldn't be complete without a collage a'la Pud!
Isn't he the cutest?? I gave him an empty tube from the wrapping paper and then he got into the cupboard and walked around with a can of refried beans. He makes us smile!
I love my family and we have such a great time together!! All my kids are wonderful people and great to be around. Matt did a wonderful job of putting it all together and cooking some "kick ass" BBQ!!! I sure do love him dearly!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOGAN & DANIEL!
oh...and me.
But that is a blog, in and of itself!

Daniel's Pre-birthday

Daniel and his dream guitar. A $1000.00 double neck.
I had to work on Daniels Birthday. In my guilt I took him to Guitar Center. This is a place I never like to go. Daniel likes to show me everything he wants me to buy him and then walks around until he finds something cheap enough that I will buy him. It's beautiful!!
SO, since it was his birthday, I took him there and let him play his dream guitar.
I didn't buy it for him, mind you, just took him to the store to play it.
I know, I'm the mom of the year!!!

Duchesne JUNE trip!

The first of June, on the 7th, Matt and I headed up to Duchesne to spend some time with his family. Nate and Rani were going to be there and we like going up to visit. It gives us time to be together, alone, also. I do sleep a lot on the trip, but we hold hands and stuff!!
On the way, we stopped at Strawberry to drop off the boat trailer and visit our boat.

Matt on the way down with Ted. The boat in it's slip.

Self portrait. COLD!! Ted, looking at dry land.

He wasn't too thrilled about being in the boat.
We will get him use to it. We just need to get him a life jacket.

The weather has been SO crappy!!! It was freezing.
Glad I had my honey to snuggle up to.

Ted watching Matt fix the tie up.
Can you hear me in the background??
I am saying, "Your not doing the over-under thingy!"
(Yeah, he loves me)

Those may be wine boxes, but they are full of fishing stuff!!!
It even gets me excited to go fishing.
This is in the hull of the boat.

If you look closely, you can see me taking a picture in the mirror.
So creative.

When we arrived in Duchesne, we realized it was a "watch the Rydmans" work trip.
hehehe
Nate, Rani and Al were putting in a back yard with grass and plants.

Working hard, looking GOOD!

Susan made us a DELICIOUS grilled lunch!! Uncle David and Aunt Nancy joined us.

There was plenty of "administrative" work, watching.
The dogs (Rosie and Ted) ran off and I walked after them.
We visited Chili's grave.

Coming together! Watching this makes my knees hurt.
Al is getting a new knee at the end of the month. This had to hurt him.

Susan's new dog Rosie just LOVES Ted and I think he loves her too!
Look at him smiling!

Finishing up. I LOVE the pergola. Matt with the doggy buddies.

A pause in play. Rosie doing the hug/attack!!

Cute dogs!

The whole Fam-Damily!!
Ted bailed though.
I had a great time and love Matt's family. Even when it's just hanging out, it's a lot of fun.
