Tending Pud

Last night Matt and I had the awesome privilege of tending grandson Pud. We called him Pud in the womb and can't seem to bring ourselves to call him anything else. Frankly, we were very excited and had planned the night out with a walk outside and lots of cuddling and smooches. Things went beautifully. Matt put him in the little front pack and we walked to "ooh Sushi",(mmmm...delicious) to get dinner. I swear Pud was flirting with the cashier. He was sound asleep when we walked in, popped open his eyes and starting smiling at her. Although we were dying to tell her he was our grandson and how cute he was, she didn't ask, darn it!! There was a second time on the street, but that lady didn't ask either. I thought of flagging down a car on 33rd to let them know that, YES, he was our grandson and YES, he was adorable!!

Matt and I took turns holding him, smooching him, playing with him and walking, walking, walking. Pud is pretty sure that when he decides it's time to walk around, it's TIME!! He does the cutest little boo boo face, but doesn't necessarily commit to an actual cry.

UPDATES:

Daniel won his first Oly Bantam football game of the season!!! He did great, the team did great and we stomped Copper Hills 13-12. hehe Props to Daniels dad for being the Head Coach this year and big brother Austin for coaching the line. What a great day!!

Wedding month is most likely March. I welcome any thoughts or ideas. We are leaning towards a nice dinner with a little wedding in the beginning!!

THE Engagement

I have been single for....ohhh.......about 10 years. The first five I spent re-living, or living my college years by,
A. going to college and
B. partying like a college student.
This intertwined with single motherhood and divorce. It was a challenge, but I was up to it!! I graduated from Westminster college with BS degree in nursing in 2003 AND all my kids are alive and functioning!
Last week Matt and I were in San Francisco having a mini vacation and Matt was working a little. On thursday night we were having dinner at a fancy italian restaurant by the wharf and I thought, " ohhh........I wonder if this is it!!". (I had already picked out the ring) It wasn't it. Unfortunately for us, there was a DOG in the restaurant, sitting right next to me. It wasn't mine, but the owner sure was proud to have this particular animal in a fancy restaurant. I don't know who's palmed she greased to get him in, but after she was done eating, she let her dog lick the plate!! Isnt' that sweet?? We are both dog lovers, having 3 between us, but it just wasn't a place for a dog.
Matt just wasn't in the mood to ask me to marry him AND pet the dog at the same time. He went into back up plan. We went to the top of the Hilton on O'Farrell St., had a couple of drinks and he asked me there. The setting was perfect, the ring is perfect and he is perfect!!

We have absolutely no idea when or where we are getting married, but it will happen. It most likely won't be a big shin-dig. This isn't our first marriages, but it WILL be our last marriages.

Now, for a moment of silence for the princess cut, for the princess!!

Seduction into Blogger-land

This evening I spend about an hour looking through the various blog-sites that I have saved. I'm hooked!! I need my own blog. Who doesn't like to talk about themselves?? No one more then myself! So much is going on in my life right now, I want a place to not only talk about it, but to be able to share it with those that care. Maybe even get some helpful hints and usable advise.

I look forward to many conversations with my blog. I also look forward to sharing and embarrassing my kids, dogs, grandson, family and fiance.

Blog on.........
